Description

The beautiful hamlet of Joghmanshof, built in the early part of the nineteenth century, is described by the National Cultural Heritage Department as 'a functioning farm in the Betuwe region with windmills and businesses'. The buildings include many historical elements that have remained untouched.

For example, the living area and two parallel wings have rounded wicker shield-roofs - and a door with oval panels, and above, pilaster frame lamps. The living area also has sash windows with a small lattice pattern. The stable features an authentic thatched 'wolf-roof'.

The current owner bought the farm with over 11,000 m² of land and converted it into a farmhouse in 1997. A large and very high quality house. The well-known landscape architect Arend Jan van der Horst was responsible for the design and construction of the garden. He has produced a beautiful park-garden with extraordinary trees, borders and ponds.

The five-row hay barns on two sides are connected by a large outbuilding, with space for several cars.

The Joghmanshof, Kapel-Avezaath, the Betuwe: They are names that speak to the imagination. It is a beautiful area, close to Tiel with excellent access to the town and other major cities. It represents high quality living, in the center of the Netherlands, surrounded by peace and space.
